Membership Plan Revenue Calculator
What could an in-house membership plan for uninsured patients be worth to your practice each year?
Twenty-seven percent of US adults have no dental insurance — about seventy-two million people — and many of them stay away from the dentist until something hurts, because an unknown bill is frightening. A membership plan gives them a predictable way in: an annual fee, a member discount, no insurer in between.
This calculator estimates what a plan could bring in from the uninsured adults around your practice — from the size of the area you draw from, a realistic share you could reach, and the annual value of a patient after the member discount.
The numbers already filled in belong to an example practice — 50,000 adults in the area you draw patients from · 27% of them without dental insurance — the one sourced figure · a 1% share reached · $1,000 a year per patient after the member discount · the membership fee left for you to enter. They are there so you can see the calculator work before you type anything; they are not benchmarks. Replace them with your own.

What fixes this
Club Creator, Step 6, sets up and runs the plan: your fees and member discounts, an online portal where patients enroll and pay, a printable marketing kit, member pricing at checkout, and the renewals — with the fee and the discount set by you, not by us.
In the first practice on Profit Smiles, 48 members enrolled in the first ninety days.

How this is calculated
- Uninsured adults nearby = adults in your area × the uninsured share. The 27% default is the CareQuest Institute's figure for US adults (State of Oral Health Equity in America); it is a share of the adult population, not of your patients.
- New patients = uninsured adults nearby × the share you reach. One percent is a deliberately modest example.
- Treatment revenue = new patients × the annual value of a patient after the member discount. Enter the value net of the discount, or the membership fee gets counted twice.
- Membership revenue = new patients × your annual fee. Leave the fee blank and the estimate counts treatment only.
- The total is the two together. The calculator says nothing about what to charge — the fee is yours to set.
- Daily figures divide the annual figure by 365. The five-year line multiplies by five at today's numbers — no growth, no inflation, no change assumed.
This is arithmetic on the numbers you enter — an estimate, not a forecast, and not advice about your practice.
The other calculators: PPO write-offs · Out-of-network break-even · Treatment acceptance · Patient attrition · Supply costs — or all of them.
